FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We cheer for the Pendleton Junior Football League. For the majority of the games, we schedule the cheerleaders to cheer at their peers games, i.e. 2nd graders cheering for 2nd grade football games.

Our cheerleaders do not have to go to South Madison schools because we are a recreational cheerleading program. We serve everyone in grades K-6th.

No! We have cheerleaders of all levels. The most important part of PHYC is to have fun!

Registration for the 2026 season is now closed.
We will have an in-person uniform sizing that you must attend with your cheerleader - two date options are available.

We do take requests for coaches or friends to be on the same squad. We make every effort to accommodate requests; however, sometimes we are unable to fulfill every request.

All of our coaches are parent volunteers! Each squad has two co-coaches. We encourage you to volunteer and have fun with us!

Cheerleaders wear a shell, skirt, briefs, white gym/cheer shoes, white socks (if not no-show) and bow. If it is colder, they can wear a black or white long-sleeve shirt and/or leggings under their uniforms. Nothing should be on top on the uniform. Hair should be in a full or a half (short hair) high pony with bow facing forward. Bring your poms! Please, no necklaces or dangling earrings due to safety concerns.

Most of our games are played at the Falls Park Sports Complex. The football fields are all the way in the back of the complex behind the baseball and softball diamonds.
There is limited parking the in back near the fields and a large parking lot at the front of the complex.

Cheer is an outdoor sport, so we do cheer in the rain! It is ultimately up to each squads coach whether to cheer, but we make every effort to cheer at all games.
